Nepalese Tradition and Growth of Fashion in Nepal

In old days, people were not aware about fashion trends in the world. They used to wear traditional
handmade, woven dresses that were comfortable and carried on from generation to generation.
They generally wore saris, daura-suruwal, gunyu-cholo, dhoti, dhakatopi etc.

There was no system of watching TVs, most of the people were uneducated and main occupation was agriculture and farming.

But slowly with development and modernization, Nepalese general public came into larger contact with
outside world. People started going abroad and learning new trends and catching up with fashion. Then
with increasing use of TV, international fashion trends became part of Nepalese youth.
